How each balance is obtained
Gold Coins can come from daily claims, giveaways, gameplay and optional GC package purchases. Stake Cash can come from daily claims, promotions, the mail-in request route, or as a bonus attached to a specifically marked Gold Coin package.
When the 3x requirement applies
Stake Cash received as a promotional bonus with a Gold Coin purchase must be played through three times before redemption. Stake Cash won through Promotional Play is excluded from that 3x requirement. Verification and any minimum displayed in the account still apply.
Which balance should you use?
Choose GC when you want to discover games and play purely for entertainment. Choose SC when Promotional Play and the possibility of redeeming eligible winnings are the point.
Can you convert Gold Coins to Stake Cash?
No. GC and SC are separate balances and Stake.us does not allow conversion in either direction. Playing with GC can produce more GC, but it cannot create redeemable Stake Cash.
Are Stake.us Gold Coins worth real money?
No. Gold Coins have no monetary value and are not refundable or redeemable. Buying a package gives you Gold Coins for Standard Play; it does not create a cash balance or a deposit you can later withdraw.
What happens when you buy a Gold Coin package?
The purchase is for Gold Coins. If the package is specifically marked, Stake.us may add promotional Stake Cash as a bonus. This does not mean you purchased SC, and it does not turn the GC balance into withdrawable funds.
Which Stake.us currency can you cash out?
Only eligible Stake Cash can lead to a prize request. Gold Coins never enter the redemption process. Stake Cash obtained as a purchase bonus must be played through three times; SC won through Promotional Play is excluded from that 3x rule.
Does Stake Cash equal real money?

What happens when you play?

The method used for a Gold Coin purchase affects the available redemption type. Fiat purchases lead to fiat redemption. Cryptocurrency purchases require redemption using the same cryptocurrency while an SC balance remains.
